Lake Whitney – Whitney, Texas

We spent a week at Lake Whitney at our Thousand Trails campground. The campground was very nice and had a lot of hiking trails. Kelly was happy because there was a golf course right next door. We didn’t find a lot of activities to do in the town of Whitney, so the girls and I took a lot of hikes in the park. They had very nice trails. The only negative to the hiking trails was, the girls came home with at least one tick a day. The good news, none of the ticks stayed on the dogs, they always got off and I would find them before they found me. Here are few photos from around the campground. It was just a nice relaxing week.

This was the view of the lake while on a hiking trail.

Our welcome sign at our site. We did find a live scorpion behind the sign when we took it down. Yuck….

Larry and Jan let Kelly and I take their dinghy out for a quick ride…loved it…and what a beautiful delta sunset..those we do miss! We all went to dinner at Tower Park…It was a great day and we love spending time with our friends.

Saturday…Linam family (my Mom’s side of the family) get together at Willow Berm Marina…which was right down the street…it was great to see my Uncle Richard and Aunt Barbara and my cousins Kim, Brad and Greg…I also got to visit with my nephews Kevin and Eddie and Kevin’s wife Shanna and my new great niece…

Chilly Weather in Idaho

The weather has not been warm at all…we have had rain, snow and winds up to 45 mph+…..the Jeep has a hard time driving against a strong head wind, so it has limited our ability to get out and about…so here are a few photos from our campground…..of course there is nothing wrong with just relaxing and enjoying each others company. Of course the clouds make for beautiful sunsets…

Cold Rain Cloud

Another rainy day…and this one dropped some snow on the hills….
