Texas Bluebonnet Wine Trail

We are back in College Station, Texas….we always feel so welcomed here and at home. We discovered the Texas Bluebonnet Wine Trail. It is really a wonderful treat. The wine trail event covers three weekends and includes seven wineries. You can go in any order, and it was only $50.00 for two people. It includes two wines paired with cheese appetizers at each winery, two wine glasses and wildflower seeds. It was a lot of fun to try the different style wine…we had an excellent time and will plan to do it again in 2015. Of course we only took photos of the food the first day….I guess we must have been to hungry to take any photos of the rest. We did learn, that most of the grapes used to make the wine are from Lodi, California.

Links to each wineries web page will be under Favorite Wineries (on the left)

Day Three

Sixth Winery – Cork This! Winery

We really had a great time at this winery! If you are passing through Montgomery, Texas…it is a great place to enjoy a glass or two. The wine menu is fun to read, each comes with a warning. One wine is called “Boot Leg Red” and its Warning: “The consumption of alcohol may cause you to tell your friends over and over again, that you love them.”
